With this exchange of words and anger, Achilles and Agamemnon seem appear to be bitter with each other. Agamemnon has humiliated Achilles in front of the Achaeans and now he has chosen to retreat from the side of the Achaeans. Must he need Brysseis by his side in place of Chrysseis? This war is almost lost even before it has begun. I do not know what may happen now but this is my chance to show the Achaeans that I am just as good a fighter as Achilles. Though the gods may skirmish with one another, I will not falter. Though our soldiers retreat, Odysseus has rallied them stronger than before. My blood and body twitches with excitement. I know the Trojans tremble when they hear my name, Aias the Greater!
